Korean Royal Cuisine – Autumn Workshop

Rp700.000

Hannah is back with the next part of our Korean workshops. This time she will talk about two special dishes normally served for the royal family during autumn.

Galbijjim or braised short ribs was traditionally eaten at Chuseok (Autumn Harvest Festival) along with other festive dishes and autumn fruits. As galbijjim is usually made from only the center part of ribs from a calf, galbi was more expensive than other cuts of beef in Korea and has been regarded as a high-class dish.

Hobak-juk (Pumpkin Porridge) is a sweet, nutty, and velvety dish that is popular in the autumn and winter season. It can be enjoyed as an appetizer to prepare your pallet for the main course or a wholesome meal or even as a dessert.
